In 1998, the American Council on Education did a survey in which they discovered that financing a children's college education is one of the top five concerns facing American parents.
Even with good intentions, life constantly changes and most people do not understand the macro-economics of how money works and the effects one decision has on another. There are so many unforseen circumstances along the way that prevent them from saving a sufficient amount of money to pay for the education.
Fortunately there are ways to pay for education and money available, if you know where to look.
